“The HIS USB 3.0 Mobile Docking Station is kept compact, and thanks to the white surface, it offers also a very elegant appearance. HIS is not with the equipment on a simple extension of the USB ports, but instead provides different connections, which are ultimately combined via USB 3.0. | Germany | HIS Multi-View USB Portable Docking Station, Gigabit Ethernet for Mac & Windows (HDMI + VGA up to 2048 x 1152, USB 3.0 port) | |

"The HIS R9 290X iPower IceQ X2 performed great across all our testing and proved to be a worthy contender in the crowded R9 290X market. As far as pricing goes, this exact same card without the factory applied overclock sells for $509.99 at Newegg, so I’ll venture to say you’ll see anywhere from a $20 to $30 premium added for this overclocked version. That would make the final price very attractive and certainly one of the least expensive R9 290X offerings with a factory overclock on both the GPU and memory. The gold colored shroud and the unique grab handle give the card a look that will stand out from other manufacturer’s offerings. Just under that gold colored shroud is the IceQ X2 cooler, which does a great job of keeping the card cool at a very low noise level. Overclocking proved easy to accomplish using the HIS iTurbo utility, especially with the ability to adjust GPU and memory voltages. Provided you have good case cooling, the card should run happily at roughly a 15% overclock. So, in the end, we have a great performing card that should be available soon at an attractive price." "The cooler is incredibly quiet and keeps the GPU in the extremely safe temperature range, even when overclocking. Saying this cooler leaves the reference cooler in the dust would be a serious understatement. The GPU comes packaged to perfection. If someone was going to hurt this GPU in transit, they would have to be playing hacky sack with the box! Moving on to pricing, the R9 280 has an MSRP of $249 from AMD, and HIS brought this card in at $259 MSRP. Very nice pricing to get such a great cooler. Currently on Newegg it’s on sale for $249, which gets you upgraded cooling for AMD’s MSRP. Don’t forget that this GPU also can take advantage of Mantle, AMD’s technology that was implemented into Battlefield 4. If extra performance in Mantle-enabled titles is something that suits your usage, then perhaps this could sway your decision toward this GPU. Mantle or not, the HIS R9 280 IceQ X2 performs admirably, runs cool and quiet, and does so at a great price point. “The card has over its GeForce competitors is the fact that it makes use of 3 GB VRAM and a 384-bit bus interface which does impact performance when moving onto higher resolution displays. IceQ X² is one of the quietest coolers, making the card quieter than the reference cooler. The card is below 28dB when watching movies, surfing Facebook, working. The card remains quiet whether you are gaming, online socializing, entertaining or working.

"HIS brought to the market another solid choice in the 290 landscape with their R9 290 iPower IceQ X2 OC. With its slightly beefier PCB to its solid performing (and silent when not pushed past a certain point) iCooler attached, they have again brought a very viable option to users. One great thing I have noticed since I last reviewed their cards is that with this version of cooler there is room to get the power plugs on and off. Their blower style cooler you literally had to bend it a little to get my fingers in there. Price-wise, the HIS R9 290 iPower IceQ X2 OC comes in at $379.99 at Newegg.com. That is the least expensive of ALL the 290s Newegg has listed by $20 (not including MIR). So with its better than reference PCB on this iPower version, quiet and solid performing cooling solution in their iCooler, as well as being the cheapest available, go get it if you are looking for a 290. Pros "The HIS iCooler series graphics run cool and quiet which is all we could hope to expect from a graphics card with this type of cooling. Also, the R7 250X and 260X cards from the iCooler series are showing a good culture of work. We had no problems with stability or temperatures on both of the reviewed graphics cards. Looking at the performance, we have to consider the graphics cards' price. In this case some gamers would say that these cards are slow. On the other hand, it is hard to find faster graphics cards in similar price. All who decide to pick these cards for daily work and casual gaming will not be disappointed. Considering that the most popular monitors are still offering a 1080p screen resolution, then these cards should be a good enough, inexpensive option."
